Finance Ministry Announces Primary Budget Surplus
The Greek Finance Ministry confirmed that the central government's primary budget for the initial seven months of 2014, stands at 2.3 billion euros.
This marks a significant stride, compared to its set goal of 800 million euros. The monetary gains do not include social security revenues and local administrations, and differs from the amount overseen by the IMF and EU.
However, it is a clear gauge of the nation's recent budgetary advancements. The Greek budget deficit amounts to 1.93 billion euros, that held a 3.36 billion euro aim.
