Samaras Voices Prompt IMF Aid Exodus

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has voiced that the nation may attempt to cease financial aid from the International Monetary Fund early.

Samaras is hoping to gain Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel's approval. The Prime Minister stated at a joint news conference after discussions with Merkel in Berlin, "I believe that this process will be concluded, will come to an end, actually before the timeframe originally envisaged", according to Bloomberg Businessweek.

Samaras added, "We want normalcy for our country and we have showed that we can attain credibility". The Greek leader believes the country won't require an additional aid package and desires it to "stand on its own feet". IMF funds are scheduled to continue until 2016's initial quarter. Merkel commented,"I know what difficult times Greece has gone through...But the first tender shoots of success are visible".
