Turkey is a large, growing market, with imports exceeding 360 billion euros, while it is also next to Greece, thus limiting the cost of transporting Greek products to the neighboring country.

The Greek-American Chamber of Commerce welcomed on Thursday the American directive maintaining exemptions in some Greek farm products from tariffs imposed on imports from the EU.

Olive oil and all related products, as well as cheeses and wines exported by Greece to the United States will remain unaffected by the US tariff regime imposed on the EU products, according to a revised list of products under the US sanctions decision of February 15 issued by the US Department of Commerce.
