The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has been chosen by the Atlantic Council to be named this year as one of its Global Citizens for 2024. Joining Mitsotakis in receiving Global Citizen Awards were the Prime Minister of Italy Georgia Meloni, the President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo and top film producer Miki Lee from South Korea.

The joint steps of Athens and Nicosia in the effort to restart the dialogue on the Cyprus issue, a few days before they will be at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where the meeting of the Greek Prime Minister with Tayyip Erdogan will also take place, will be confirmed during their meeting today in Maximos Mansion Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday evening attended an official ceremony inaugurating the new lighting installations at the Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, at the extreme southeastern tip of Attica. In his brief address, he highlighted the significance of the ancient monument, noting that it was one of the most iconic landmarks of Greece.
