SBIFF Honors Jennifer Aniston With 2015 Montecito Award

Actress Jennifer Aniston is set to gain the Montecito Award at the 2015 Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), for her role in the indie film Cake.

The Greek-American Hollywood star will receive her Award on January 30th, at the Arlington Theatre located in Santa Barbara, CA. As stated on the SBIFF's website, the Montecito Award, "Named after one of the most beautiful and stylish areas in Santa Barbara the Montecito Award is given to a recipient whose style has been a contribution to film."  Kate Winslet, Oprah Winfrey, Julian Moore, Javier Bardem and Daniel Day-Lewis, among others, have been honored with the Award.

SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling described, "Once in a while a performer who we thought we knew gets outside of his or her comfort zone and shows us the unexpected," according to the Hollywood Reporter. During added of Aniston, "When that happens it is cause for celebration — and this is why the 2015 Montecito Award is bestowed upon Ms. Aniston."
