Cannes Film Festival Showcases Director Lanthimos’ “The Lobster”

The movie "The Lobster," by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos, is being showcased at this year's Cannes Film Festival next month.

The film marks the award-winning director's first English feature and is slated in the main competition category. "The Lobster" is vying against "Macbeth," "Sea of Trees," and "Louder than Bombs," among others.

The movie stars Rachel Weisz, Colin Farrell, Lea Seydoux and John C. Reilly. The plot centers around singles who are forced to find a romantic partner within 45 days or he/she will turn into an animal. This year's 68th Cannes Film Festival will take place May 13th until the 24th.
