Minister Maniatis Authorizes Kozani Wind Station

Today brought the approval by Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Yiannis Maniatis, regarding a planned wind power plant's environmental standards, that will be constructed in Kozani, according to reports.

The energy hub will hold a 39.1 MW capacity in northwestern Greece. It has been estimated that the design will generate 47 million euros upon completion to the nation's real economy, while administering 95 GWh of green electricity annually, as stated by ANA-MPA. Minister Maniatis has now authorized the creation of 24 wind farms, totaling 926.8 in MW and 1.1 billion euros in revenues to the real economy.
