Two Albanian citizens, ages 34 and 31, were arrested yesterday and charged with criminal charges for transportation and commerce of narcotics as well as entering the country illegally.
More specifically, police conducting spot checks stopped their car at the fourth kilometer of the country road Igoumenitsa - Sagiada.
During the inspection of the vehicle and with the aid of a police dog, police found in a specially formed cavity in the rear bumper 13 packages containing a total of 10.488 kilos of cannabis.
Police also confiscated two mobile phones as well as the car as an instrument for the transportation of illicit substances.
