Stournaras: "It will be hell until June..."
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greece would agree to a new bailout package from international creditors only if this did not involve new austerity measures is the message sent by Finance minister Yannis Stournaras trough Sunday's edition of Kathimerini newspaper.
However, Mr. Stournaras was positive about accepting the implementation of the new "structural measures."
The finance minister also stressed that realism and calmness was necessary from all sides, as irrational requirements could only harm the country, especially at a time when financial markets are starting to trust Greece again.
Commenting on the course of negotiations with the troika, Stournaras told a separate interview with Sunday's To Vima newspaper, that "it will be hell until June, all issues are open and on the negotiating table with our creditors."
