- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras briefed Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann on the Greek government's plan to "lift the temporary impasse" as submitted to the country's partners.
Tsipras cleared out that this plan does not burden European taxpayers at all.
He also underlined that he is optimistic over an agreement with the partners adding: "It is in everyone's interest to reach a mutually beneficial agreement."
Commenting on the Austrian Chancellor's statement that those who bet on Greece's failure, we will be proven wrong, Tsipras said that "they are playing with fire and the risk of strengthening the extreme right in Europe."
