Deputy Prime Minister Yannis Dragasakis received a phone call from the financial advisor of Barack Obama, Caroline Atkinson, this afternoon.
As reported by Michalis Ignatiou on the main news report of Mega channel, the adviser to the US President expressed his concern about finding a solution to deal with Greece's European partners and made it clear that the government must fulfill its commitments, such as those arising from the Agreement of February 20.
On his part, the Deputy Prime Minister assured him that the Greek government is doing everything in order to agree and referred to the attitude of Germany towards Greece.
Caroline Atkinson is a former Director of the IMF’s External Relations Department. She left the Fund in August, 2011 to join the White House as a special assistant to the President for international economic affairs.
