Leaked document "shows" agreement and extraordinary Eurogroup

Developments concerning the Greek issue are rapid. This follows after a leaked internal document of the Conference of Presidents of political groups in the European Parliament.

The document (leak from an email at the European Commission) stated the intention of the Conference of Presidents to hear on Thursday President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker, ECB President Mario Draghi and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

The meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, but the interesting point is that in the same internal document the presidents of the political groups warn of possible organizational convening of an extraordinary Eurogroup on the same day.

The European Commission is not commenting on the leak, but if one looks at the dates, unless something extraordinary happens until then, the Brussels Group will have been completed and an initial agreement will have been attained.

Moreover, the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung in an exclusive report notes that the current program for Greece can be extended until autumn.

For the plan to be effected, reveals the German newspaper, Greece should accept, even, some partial reforms. According to the schedule, the project will be ready by the end of the month, so as to enable the Eurogroup to take a decision in early June. Then, Athens could smoothly receivefour billion euros.

According to European diplomats, other countries fear that Tsipras while accepting the reforms, may still go to a referendum, therefore “in this case the EU can not do otherwise than to extend the program. You can not close the tap just before the vote. "
