Bulgarian president:There will be an agreement with Greece's creditors

With the Bulgarian economy having a direct connection to the Greek economy, the probability of a Grexit is of immediate interest to Greece's northern neighbors.

The country's president, Rossen Plevneliev, speaking to Bulgarian journalists appeared optimistic that ultimately there will be an agreement between Greece and its creditors.
"I discussed this matter during the last 24 hours, with all the European leaders," he said, in particular, adding that "I am convinced that there will be agreement within the next few hours."
Despite the optimistic estimate, the Bulgarian president warned of the impact on the Bulgarian economy, if the situation does not evolve positively.

"In the event of a crisis escalation, Bulgaria will be faced with a direct impact, although it has not joined the Eurozone," said Plevneliev.
At the same time he stressed that the political leadership of the country is on alert, commenting that he works closely with both the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, and with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Economy.
He noted finally that Mr. Plevneliev met with Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, during the summit in Brussels, twice.
