Idomeni railway service resumes

After more than two months, the railway linking Greece to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) is set to resume service today after protesting migrants have been removed from the nearby Idomeni border camp in northern Greece.

The forced closure has caused tens of millions of euros in lost revenues and fines as well as besmirching and downgrading Greek railroads at a time when privatizations are looming.
