Refugee childrens shown around the Acropolis Museum

Forty children refugees from the center of Schistos visited the Acropolis Museum on Thursday and were shown around the exhibits and the sculptures, the culture ministry said.

The children were welcomed by Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou and the museum’s President Dimitris Pandermalis, who explained some of the items they were going to see. The tour was made by archaeologists who told the children about the daily life in Anciant Athens, the Parthenon and the history of the museum.
The visit is part of the ministry’s collaboration with the Swiss cultural organization Flux Laboratory, the UN’s Refugee Agency and the International Children's Network.
