Corinth refineries get new railway link

Oil refineries in Corinth will be hooked up with large industrial plants in the area by a new railway extension, said the Transport Ministry and Motor Oil on Tuesday.
The 12 million euro project will take up to 18 months to be completed and will stretch over 10 kilometers. The railway extension will connect the refineries in the Corinth canal area with the existing railway network. Motor Oil will fund the project.
Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Spirtzis said that it will serve the needs of large industry that will also have many benefits for the community and businesses.
