On Wednesday, Deputy Civil Protection and Crisis Management Minister Nikos Hardalias appealed to residents in the surrounding area to observe the strict quarantine and stay at home, noting that it was very important to protect the health of people in at-risk groups and, in the case that the virus has spread, to make sure that this spread would not be extensive.
