Minister, US ambassador discuss restarting food trade

Minister of Rural Development & Food Makis Voridis discussed restarting trade with the United States on fish products and other goods with US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt on Tuesday.
At an e-meeting on trade halted by the Covid-19 pandemic, they also discussed the cooperation of Rutgers University (New Jersey) with the American Agricultural School of Thessaloniki and the Agricultural University of Athens on the 'New Agriculture-New Generation' program, which is sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
Pyatt congratulated the minister and his team for its handling of the food supply chain during the pandemic and pledged the further development of trade in the agricultural sector.
