George Papandreou: Debt and deflation for Europe

Former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said that while European economies have emerged from crisis, deflation and an abundance of debt remains.
“Europe is maybe out of the woods but it’s still raining hard,” he said in an interview after a panel discussion at the SkyBridge Alternatives Conference in Las Vegas today. “Lots of soggy pitfalls and quicksand are around such as imbalances between the periphery and core, deflation and overhang of debt.”
