Lemnos Suffers Earthquake Aftermaths

On the island of Lemnos, two churches suffered damages, eleven houses disintegrated, while three schools and thirteen houses incurred minor defects, due to yesterday's earthquake.

Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization (OASP), the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the School Buildings Organization (OSK) are scheduled to arrive in Lemnos to analyze earthquake destruction, as reported by the Greek Interior Ministry.

Yesterday's earthquake hit beneath the Greek sea and rattled northern Greece and western Turkey. Interior Minister Yannis Michelakis stated from the island today: "Fortunately, it was a strong earthquake without serious damages".
