Civil Servants Checked for Fraudulent Resumes

Τhe Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) has announced it will be taking a closer look at the specific term contracts of 40,000 public employees looking for fake credentials.
Although it's hard to make an estimate, there are thousands of public employees hired with fake qualification credentials.
Now the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) has announced it will be taking a closer look at the specific term contracts of 40,000 public employees which turned into tenure positions. If any irregularities are found, the employees will be fired on the spot and damages will be sought.
The recheck will be conducted by special echelons of the Council who will be looking into possible fake credentials, withheld data or any other irregularities which contributed to the conversion of their contracts into tenure.
The data gathered by the recheck will be relayed to the Ministry of Administrative Reform, which will kick off procedures for the termination of the “guilty” employees contracts. Elementary? Sure. But in this country, the most elementary procedures are taking longer than expected.
