2013 Greek Deficit Under 3% of GDP
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The general government deficit will be under 3% of GDP this year, according to economy minister Christos Staikouras.
The figure is lower than the 5.2% of GDP projected in the 2013 budget, partly because of the measures taken by creditors, last December, to lighten the debt.
The figures quoted by the minister concern the general government deficit as it is calculated according to the rules of Eurostat ESA 95, and are included in the draft 2914 budget that will be presented next week.
