Minister of Economics, Mr. Yanis Varoufakis, and the leader of “Potami”, Mr. Stavros Theodorakis, honoured by their presence the 194th anniversary of Greek Independence Day (March 25th 1821) in Chania.

The Greek revolution set the framework of values on which the Greek state was built, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Wednesday following the military parade in downtown Athens to celebrate Greek Independence Day.

A military parade commemorated Greek Independence Day on March 25, in the presence of President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Parliament President Zoi Konstantopoulou, on Wednesday in Athens.
