Secretary of the U.S. Army John McHugh held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, Alternate Minister of Defense Fofi Gennimata, Chief of the Hellenic Defense Forces Mikhail Kostarakos, among other senior Greek delegates in Athens.

Greek government Vice President, Foreign Minister and PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos voiced the requirement for a discussion by all political parties to come to a "national consensus", following an agenda meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, according to ANA-MPA.

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades held an in-depth phone call, regarding Samaras' scheduled meeting with Turkish President Erdoğan, on the sidelines of the NATO Summit being held this Thursday and Friday.
