Greece has earned fourth place in Europe with regard to the quality of its bathing waters for this year, according to data published by the European Environment Agency on Tuesday.

With 408 “Blue Flag” beaches, Greece has once again ranked second worldwide, among 51 countries. “Blue Flag” is an international environmental distinction for clean beaches.

Greece has been ranked as having the second cleanest harbors and beaches in the world, regarding its Blue Flag status.
