Authorities have reported a significant increase in migrant arrivals off the southern coast of Crete, with triple-digit detections occurring daily.

Turkish human traffickers opened fire with a firearm against a vessel of the Greek Port Authority off the area of Aghios Fokas, in the southern Lesvos island, on Saturday morning. No one was injured.
