Thirty-five cases of infection with the Covid-19 virus were found after tests on 637 samples in the Roma district of Nea Smyrni, Larissa, authorities announced on Friday. Following the results of the tests, carried out on Thursday, the General Secretariat for Civil Protection has ordered the implementation of the 'Day 0-Day 7-Day 14' Plan.

The Health Ministry’s coronavirus spokesman and infectious diseases professor Sotiris Tsiodras on Thursday evening dispelled speculative reports that the country's elderly will be allowed to leave their homes sometime soon. 

With 1,061 confirmed cases until March 28, Greece is ranked 40th in the list of the countries with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 virus cases against the 32nd position it was ranked one week ago.
