Greek shipowners are in a battle for primacy in the acquisition of second-hand ships with their Chinese counterparts, as the lead between the two shipping companies has changed hands over the past years.

The General Staff of the Hellenic Navy announced that on Thursday, 2 May 2019, the Contract for the Supply and Installation of Four (4) Generator Pairs was signed in Geneva in the framework of the replacement of generators for S-type frigates under the name “KYKNOS” . Te generators are manufactured by “SOCIETE INTERNATIONALE DES MOTEURS BAUDOUIN” and “LEROY SOMER”.

With large investments in container ships and tankers, in 2018, Greek shipowners once again became champions in investment activity, and strengthened their position on the international market.
