Even though the start of the summer season in June was accompanied by a suspension and “freezing” of air connections with Israel due to geopolitical issues, even though in destinations throughout Greece the arrivals of Israelis on cruises were accompanied by protests in the past period, the Israeli market, nevertheless, presents a double-digit, indeed large, growth rate this year for Greek tourism.

One of the first flights with Israeli tourists arrived in Greece shortly before 11:00 on Friday morning.

Seven tourists from Israel were rescued by the Greek coast guard when their sailing boat caught fire and run aground in the sea region south of Ermioni.
A coast guard patrol vessel transferred the tourists to the port of Ermioni. All the tourists are safe and well.
