Infrastructure & Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis resigned on Wednesday, following the fatal train crash at Tempi.
"The timetable for the Thessaloniki metro will be met and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' visit on Tuesday to Thessaloniki is held for this reason, to signal that something is changing in this city, the project will continue and will be delivered in its entirety in 2023," Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis said on Monday.
Infrastructure and Transport Minister Costas Karamanlis and Deputy Transport Minister Yiannis Kefalogiannis on Monday visited the Athens metro operations control centre at Syntagma and were briefed on the situation in public transport on the first day of a gradual easing of lockdown restrictions and the transition to normalcy.
