Fraport Greece’s 10-million-euro project for the upgrading and expansion of the Kavala Airport “Megas Alexandros” in the northern port city is about to begin, the company recently announced.

Four dead and five wounded is the tragic toll of a road accident that occurred Tuesday night on the provincial road between Kavala and Thessaloniki, at the height of Nea Peramos.

The need to achieve a close cooperation with the local government to achieve common goals was expressed by Fraport Greece CEO Alexander Zinell, during his visit to the city of Kavala, whose airport is among the 14 regional airports the company will lease and operate under a 40-year concession deal signed with Greece’s privatization agency HRADF.
