After almost a decade, the world’s lender of last resort is ready to leave Greece for good.
"A new day is dawning in our country," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Tuesday during a state address that was videotaped from a remote location on the island of Ithaca, a day after Greece exited the memoranda.
"Ithaca symbolizes the return, the end, the relief," the mayor of Ithaki, Dionysis Stanitsas, said in a statement to radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM on Tuesday.
