A rally demonstrating against the change of the name of FYROM was staged by around 5,000 people in Skopje, ending up with burning the Greek flag.
An estimated crowd of 15,000-20,000 Greek-Australians attended today’s rally outside the Greek Consulate in Melbourne, where they voiced their opposition to any government plans that would include the term Macedonia in FYROM’s compound name.
FYROM President Gjorge Ivanov expressed his gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Turkey’s support regarding the name dispute with Greece.
