As expected, the no-confidence vote against the Mitsotakis government has failed to pass as widely expected, with a majority of 157 deputies voting against the motion.

The leader of Greece’s main opposition party, PASOK, Nikos Androulakis submitted a no-confidence vote against the New Democracy government to the President of Parliament on Wednesday during a scheduled debate on the Tempi train crash.

A majority of Parliament deputies in Greece’s 300-MP legislature on Sunday evening, as widely expected, voted down a “no confidence” motion tabled on Friday by the main opposition SYRIZA party.
