The case of deputy health minister Polakis is now taking a very unpleasent turn, following the unprecedented recording of the conversation between the Deputy Health Minister and central banker Yannis Stournaras and the leakage of their conversation, together with threats, to SYRIZA's mass media.

Alternate Minister of Health Pavlos Polakis has once again found himself at the centre of controversy, only for a much more serious reason this time. According to an exclusive report published in Sunday’s Proto Thema newspaper, Mr Polakis took out a consumer loan of €100,000 by state-run Attica Bank.

A harsh and rather improper feud has sprung up between jailed for money laundering former PASOK minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos and deputy health minister Pavlos Polakis on the occasion of the latter's post on Facebook with harsh criticisms of Vicky Stamatis' (Tsohatzopoulos' wife) indecent gesture towards reporters after her conviction by the Athens Five-Member Appeals Court on the case of kickbacks.
