About one in six businesses in Greece has the characteristics of a late payer, Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras said on Thursday, addressing an audience at the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) in Thessaloniki. 

The amendments for "red loans" of businesses and professionals and for the exclusion of non-arrears through 100 installments was voted upon through a roll-call vote, in a very heavy atmosphere in Parliament.

Deputy Development Minister Gerasimos Giakoumatos told Parliament today that decisions regarding non-performing loans would be announced by the end of October and not in September, as initially expected.
