Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chryssochoidis, who was reappointed to his old portfolio in a mini-cabinet reshuffle in January, spoke of how he planned to restructure the police and its operational base to improve patrolling and response time, in an interview to Skai TV earlier on Sunday.

A police operation in the Koukaki area of Athens has led to the arrest of three persons afterexplosives, weapons, and ammunition was found in the flat they were renting.

The fugitive, also known as the "Archer of Syntagma Square" was arrested early Thursday morning in Agia Paraskevi in a stolen car, in which heavy weapons were found.
