Thessaloniki Mayor Yiannis Boutaris joins the ranks of the best mayors around the globe as he was named yesterday one of the top 10 award winners for the 2014 World Mayor Prize.

After the 30th anniversary of the Thessaloniki and Melbourne sisterhood, Thessaloniki Mayor Yannis Boutaris has announced additional cultural collaborations between the two cities.

Thessaloniki's Mayor Yiannis Boutaris is scheduled to arrive on November 21st in Melbourne, however Macedonia and Thrace Minister Giorgos Orfanos has cancelled his trip for unknown reasons.
