Greek tourism in 2023 registered a record year and this assessment is also confirmed by the latest data from the Bank of Greece for the first nine months of the year.
The balance of travel services posted a surplus of €71.4 million in December 2022 and of €15,696.1 million in the year 2022, as the Bank of Greece published on Friday.
Travel receipts more than doubled in 2021, totaling 10.6 billion euros, up 146.7% compared with the previous year, but remained at 58.6% of 2019 levels, the Bank of Greece (BoG) said on Monday.
