US ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt pointed to a reinforced military cooperation between Greece and the United States as reflecting a tangible commitment by the US administration to support its alliance with the east Mediterranean country.

Main opposition New Democracy President Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday met with U.S. Ambassador in Athens Geoffrey Pyatt, who congratulated him on his party's results in the European and local elections in Greece.

The United States will continue to stand by Greece’s side as a steadfast partner in its economic recovery, said US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt, speaking at the 3rd International Conference of the Economic Chamber of Greece taking place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens on Thursday, Athens News Agency reports.
