Los Angeles Hosts "Celebrating Greeks in the Arts"
The Greek Heritage Society is holding its large fundraiser "Celebrating Greeks in the Arts", at St. Sophia Cathedral on October 4th, in Los Angeles.
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and showcases five leading artists from the Greek community of Southern California, including comedian Angelos Tsarouchas, pop singer Vassy, jazz musician Ariana Savalas, with a Rebetiko tribute by Pantelis Palamidis and MusicaLatitudes. DJ Gus Sverkos will be spinning Greek music that is sure to be a hit.
The night offers dinner, a show and dancing. "Celebrating Greeks in the Arts" will conduct a silent and live auction with many premiere items, featuring a LA Lakers VIP game package, Las Vegas Ploutarhos tickets, hotel stays, and more.
All proceeds go towards the Greek Heritage Society, whose aim is to document and preserve Hellenism. Tickets are priced at $55.00 for adults, while children 12 years and younger cost $30.00.
