Casting pearls before swine: Odd dogma from Chicago Metropolitan

Featured Casting pearls before swine: Odd dogma from Chicago Metropolitan

If the many innovations that threaten Hellenicity and Greek identity were not enough, now we have modernists and globalists within Orthodoxy attempting to change all that the congregation considers holy and sacred.

As has become known through the religious website www.protectingorthodoxchurch.blogspot.com that in November, at a meeting of the priests of the Metropolis of Chicago, Metropolitan Nathaniel urged all priests not to interfere with the divine communion and to offer it without any restrictions.

And especially not to mention anything about "sins" and "sinners", concepts irrevocbly tied into Church dogma. Otherwise what would the Orthodox Church's teaching mean that confession of sins must precede Divine communion? No matter if many commune without a confession, something the priest can't even know ... What is wrong with remembering our sins and atoning for them? And what does "no ban" mean? Will all those who are in the church, of any religious doctrine, be given Holy Communion?

But we are afraid that the obvious goal of Nathaniel's "directive" that seems to come from the Ecumenical Patriarchate is to level any obstacles to achieving the coveted approach to Pope and Catholicism, which is still trying to overthrow Orthodoxy, but let them remember that this faith has been standing for two thousand years and they will not level it with their innovations and unacceptable teachings!

Let us remember Matthew 7:6 a passage from the Sermon on the Mound: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither castye your pearls before swine, lest they trample themunder their feet, and turn again and rend you."
