German newspaper “Handelsblatt” reports on the efforts made by Chancellor Angela Merkel for the release of the two Greek servicemen being held in a Turkish prison in Adrianople.
Ever since Greece declared an embargo on Turkish products, the Turkish town of Edirne (Adrianople), locaded just a few kilometers from the Evros Borders, has seen a slump in its economy, which is largely dependent on Greek consumers.
