Environment Minister Yiannis Maniatis and Athens Mayor Georgos Kaminis announced the construction of the so-called “Metropolitan Cycle Path”, along a 27-kilometre course. It will begin from Kifissia and will end in Faliro, after passing through the city center of Athens.

Yiannis Maniatis requested the inclusion of 12 large energy projects in the "fast track" swift procedure for strategic investments.

Processing of seismic research data for hydrocarbons in the Ionian Sea and south of Crete will be completed by the end of the year, according to environment minister Yiannis Maniatis.
