SYRIZA candidate for Attica governor, Rena Dourou (pictured) has resigned her seat in parliament and her position is being taken by the next runner up from her party, Ms Eleni Avloniτou.

In parliament, on Thursday, the debate was for lifting immunity for three out of the total nine elected Golden Dawn members accused of criminal acts and the majority of the parliament's Ethics committee voted in favor.

The bill of the interior ministry on the new immigration code, featuring many changes and improvements, passed on Friday by a majority in the competent parliamentary committee.
