Jet2.Com Introduces New Cypriot Flights

The British-bases airliner began its Larnaka-Glasgow route on May 6th, while its Larnaka-Newcastle flight will launch on May 27th. Both itineraries will be available every Wednesday of the week, and travels to Paphos from the UK locations will be offered twice per week.

Hermes Airports CEO Wes Porter stated of the new flights that, "the strengthening of the air connectivity between Cyprus and Britain is a key element in the effort to recover the tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to Cyprus," as reported by Cypriot news outlets.

Porter added, "the UK is the second most important destination for Cypriots, both for leisure and educational purposes, since thousands of young Cypriots are studying in British universities".

Jet2.com Chief Executive Steve Heapy voiced, "Cyprus is an extremely important part of our network, and the new routes to and from Larnaka are the perfect additions to our schedule."
