NYC Train Chasing Dog Finds Forever Home!

New York City's train chasing dog, affectionately named "Tie" by rescuers last week, found a forever home!

The shepard-collie mix made the news last Tuesday, after she chased a Metro-North train from the South Bronx to Harlem. After being rescued by two MTA officers after running almost one-and-a-half miles, they coined her "Tie" after the numerous railroad ties she leapt across.

The energetic canine began her run at a 149th Street rail yard and ended up at 125th Street, chasing the train on a parallel track. Tie was later taken to Animal Care & Control and was put up for adoption on Friday, after no one claimed her. About forty-eight applications were received. The lucky pooch was adopted by the Miller family.
