Central Hosts "Masquerade" Cancer Benefit, Astoria

Astoria's hottest Greek club Central has organized a "Masquerade" cancer fundraising event, being held on Friday evening, July 11th.

All proceeds of the event will be donated to the Maria's Love Foundation, that assists families in need. The charity grants money directly to relatives struggling to pay medical bills, that are battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Popular DJ Angela Pandelis will be spinning contemporary Greek and American hits, while a raffle and casino tables with prizes, will be featured throughout the night's festivities.

Maria's Love Foundation was established by Antri Papanikolaou in memory of her mother Maria. Maria was a loving wife and mother, who lost her life to melanoma after five years of extensive chemotherapies and surgeries. After the tragic death of her mother, Antri was compelled to create an organization that aims to find a cure for cancer.

In just two years, she raised more than $35,000 in fundraising and donated all of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Maria's Love Foundation is a non-profit organization based out of Brooklyn, NY, that greatly benefits families facing financial burdens associated with cancer and other serious diseases.

The goal of Maria's Love Foundation is to offer monetary donations to cancer victims and their relatives through hospitals, local churches and organizations. More information about the nonprofit can be found at: http://www.mariaslovefoundation.org.
