Bloomberg’s Second Annual Global Business Forum weighs in on Trade

Strengthening global trade and economic alliances is the focus of Michael Bloomberg ‘s Global Business Forum. He announced on September 12th 2018, that over 50 heads of State from six continents have committed to attend the second annual Global Business Forum 2018, weighing in on topics on global trade for progress. Over 250 of the worlds most prominent business leaders will gather to discuss trade issues, globalization and innovation in the competitive world. The Global Forum will take place in New York City on September 26th at the Plaza Hotel alongside the 73rd session of the Nations General assembly.

Michael Bloomberg went on to explain that the Global Business Forum was realized after Clinton’s Global Initiative ceased, so as to continue global talks of strengthening economic relationships amongst countries. The venue is dedicated to encourage mutual opportunities that will help increase investments, trade and growth for countries during these uncertain times and tensions around tariffs. Also recognizing that global warming is a responsibility that requires collaboration between government leaders, companies, and society, Michael Bloomberg will also host a second One Planet Summit on September 26th at the Plaza Hotel.

Michael Bloomberg stated that global trade is the solution to global poverty, it expands life expectancy, and globalization is giving way to a prosperous world. Bloomberg believes that through capitalism we can shift to a better society. Bloomberg Philanthropies focuses on five areas for making change: the arts, education, environment, government innovation and public health.
