Venizelos States Greece's Worry Over Turkish EEZ Violations

Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Evangelos Venizelos stated his government's worry, regarding Turkey's illegalities in the Greek-Cypriot Exclusive Economic Zone.

Venizelos discussed the nation's violations during his address in Athens on, "Greece's Foreign and Security Policy Priorities. Results of the NATO Summit Meeting; the crisis in Ukraine, Greece's stance on Iraq and Syria," to NATO Parliamentary Committee delegates.

The Greek Foreign Minister commented, "This outright violation of international law creates yet another front, yet another crisis, in a troubled region, at a time when the Alliance and international community must be and is focused on the very serious crisis."

Venizelos also discussed trilateral collaborative efforts with Egypt and Cyprus that have been instigated to not only enhance tourism, energy and transports, but to also advance cooperation, security and stability in the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister is schedule to travel to Cyprus and Cairo to participate in the Tripartite High Level meeting between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt, along with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
